James Lawrence (Larry) Armstrong died November 29, 2021 at home in Lincoln City, OR. He was 78. The cause was cancer.
He was born in Portland, Oregon on December 2, 1942. He is survived by his wife Rosemary Dinges and his twin brother Robert (Bob) Armstrong.
Larry attended Riverdale Grammer School and Lincoln High School in Portland and graduated in 1966 from OSU. He entered the US Army in 1966 and served in Germany. His career in college textbook sales began in 1970 with Prentice Hall and continued with Little Brown Law, Dryden Press and a return to Prentice Hall in 1990.
In the early 1970's he met Rosemary while both lived in Iowa City, Iowa and they married there in 1977. Thus began a cross country journey living and working in Boston, MA, Ann Arbor, MI, Chicago, IL, Spokane/ Pullman WA ending in Lincoln City, OR. The constants throughout were professional baseball, Democratic Politics, his many dogs, all OSU sports teams and most importantly, the many life long friends he made.
Larry will be deeply missed by all who loved and were loved by him.
