November 11, 1956 ~ May 3, 2022 (age 65)

Obituary

Jackie Meeds was born at March Airfield Base, Riverside CA to Bill and Evelyn Mace on November 11, 1956. Jackie was married to Richard Meeds on July 6, 1979 in Portland, Oregon and together they had Donna. Jackie fulfilled a lifelong dream of living by the ocean when she and her husband moved to Lincoln City in 1985. She made a home open to all and raised a daughter, making many friends along the way. Jackie was always willing to help people any way she could and impacted many lives. She would go out of her way to talk to animals and leaves behind her two cherished papillons.

Jackie was a kitchen manager for 18 years first at Taft High then at Newport Middle School before embarking on a new career with Samaritan Health Services as a customer service rep for Samaritan medical equipment. Then she moved to North Lincoln Hospital as a department secretary for the respiratory department.

Jackie loved to cook, go antiquing, play bingo and cruise to Alaska every September. She got great enjoyment reading her Bible.

Jackie passed away on May 3, 2022 from ALS with complications of pneumonia at 65 years old.

Jackie is survived by her soulmate, best friend, husband of 43 years Rick, parents Bill and Evelyn Mace, daughter and son in law Donna (John) Lipchak, sister in law Sue Schafer, and many cousins, nephews and nieces, aunts and uncles!
