We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Pacific View Memorial Chapel
Beth Ann Suel was a partner to Kenneth, sister to Connie and Tom, Mom to Dan, Dhabih, Kenneth,Nathan, Rose Layli and Tarn and grandma to many wonderful youngsters. She lost her battle with cancer on January 17, 2022.
For nearly 79 years, Beth had so many adventures. She started life as Elizabeth Ann Crow in a small town in Michigan and made her way from one end of the country to the other. She ran a deli in Indiana; worked at keypunching, nursing, and tomato packing in Florida; tried wintering in New Mexico; took up fishing, firefighting, dog mushing, billing and bookkeeping in Alaska. Beth was gutsy. She was homesteading long before it became a Discovery channel show. She was a wanderer. She dreamed of new places as a way to find her way. Her last stop was the Oregon coast - just on the 45th parallel, halfway to the equator.
Beth was an avid reader, an aficionado of EDM, a lover of conspiracies and open source software, a passionate collector of herbal remedies and Blu-Ray movies. Beth was exceptionally crafty and creative, she repurposed items into nifty and practical things. She added touches of beauty with plants, pottery and paints. She made pretty beaded jewelry, exquisite sewn cards, soaps and candles. Her colorful crochet throws are keepsakes for all her kids and grandkids.
She loved writing, kintsugi pottery, beach agates, miniature baskets, garden flowers, and inspirational quotes. This is one she printed:
“We’re all travelers in this world. From the sweet grass to the packinghouse, from birth ’til death, we travel between the eternities.” - Robert Duvall [as Prentice Ritter in Broken Trail]
We miss her.
